Western Reflections Products: Energy Efficient Ratings

U-factor and SHGC explained
The lower the U-factor (or U-value), the lower the rate of heat flow, reducing heating and cooling bills. The Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) measures ability to block heat caused by sunlight. The lower the SHGC, the more air conditioning costs are reduced.

Western Reflections doorglass ratings
Energy efficiency ratings for Western Reflections doorglass products vary by door construction, doorglass type, and size.

The ratings of participating door manufacturers can be found in the NFRC on-line directory. Contact Western Reflections for more information about which door and doorglass combinations meet ENERGY STAR® requirements.
